Anger? Institute of Anger Management. Lynette is a National
Certified Counselor, a Licensed Clinical Professional
Counselor in the State of Illinois and a Diplomate with
the American Association
of Anger Management Providers and an Anger
Management Specialist and consultant. Lynette is
the co-author of What's Good About Anger?- first and
second editions - and the author of various workbooks,
training manuals, articles and certificate courses in
anger management. Mrs. Hoy co-founded CounselCare
Connection, an organization providing counseling and
resources for individuals and couples dealing with various
issues. Lynette is a Critical Incident Stress Management
provider, and a crisis counselor with the Crisis
Care Network providing counseling and debriefing
to various companies.
Lynette is an anger management specialist
and trainer authoring and providing various
anger management certificate courses. Mrs. Hoy successfully
completed the American
Counseling Association Program in Anger Management for
counselors; and has been approved to award 18 CEs for on-site
Anger Management Trainer conferences by the National
Board for Certified Counselors. Co-author of both editions
of What's Good
About Anger? Mrs. Hoy has trained hundreds of students
and clients in anger and conflict management and has certified
over 100 leaders as Trainers in Anger Management. She has authored
various workbooks, training manuals and articles in anger management.
Lynette is a Domestic Violence Advocate having taken the approved
Domestic Violence 40-Hour Training program with the Chicago
Metropolitan Battered Women's Network. Lynette writes for the Godly
Business Woman, American
Association of Christian Counselors and other publications
and has been interviewed on various radio programs and televised
on Primary Focus. Lynette is a seminar presenter for AACC,
Rapha, business, community and women's groups and part of the Christian
Speaker Network! Lynette and her husband David have
one married daughter and recently celebrated their 32nd anniversary.

Programs and Courses:
Our anger
management certificate courses have been accepted throughout the
USA by courts, probation officers, correctional institutions, employers,
etc. All courses, Trainer
certificate programs and home-study certificate courses are provided
by the What's Good About Anger Institute.
We offered the first Anger
Management Trainer conference August 15-17, 2006 in Oak Park, Illinois
and plan to offer more in 2007. The on-site Anger Management Trainer
programs have been approved by NBCC for
up to 18 CEs for LCPCs, LCSWs, LMFTs, LPCs, LSWs. Most state licensure
boards now accept CEs awarded by NBCC. We are working towards CE approval
for our home-study courses for professionals. The NAADAC accepts CEs
awarded by NBCC approved programs. Many professional state licensing
boards for psychologists accept CEs awarded by NBCC approved programs
also.
What
is an Anger Management Specialist?
A Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family
Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Psychologist who
has: (1) successfully completed certification in anger management through
a recognized training program; (2) who has 5 plus years of counseling
experience which included treatment of clients with anger management
issues; (3) who has offered a minimum of 2 years of anger management
groups, seminars and classes; and (4) who has published and/or contributed
to books, resources or articles in anger management.
